Graham Simmonds had always been drawn to the allure of cannabis. As an accountant for a popular cannabis company in Amsterdam, he had access to all sorts of strains and products, including high-THC hash that he indulged in regularly.

However, after a decade of the same routine, Graham felt like he was stuck in a rut. He yearned for something new and exciting to reignite his passion for life. That's when he stumbled upon a blog about Uttarakhand, a region in India where cannabis was first discovered and used in all the states.

Intrigued, Graham decided to embark on a journey to explore the birthplace of cannabis. He planned to visit all the Shiva temples, as this god was often associated with the cannabis plant. Armed with some high-THC hash from Delhi, Graham set off on a train journey that would change his life forever.

His first stop was Rameswaram, followed by Chidambaram, Ekambareswarar, Kaleshwaram, and finally, Kedarnath. Along the way, Graham collected a wealth of information about cannabis plants and strains. He discovered that many people in India smoked cannabis in a very raw form, simply drying the flower and smoking it in a chillum or bidi.

This new experience opened Graham's eyes to the possibility of responsible cannabis use. He realized that he didn't need to be addicted to it or smoke it every day, but that he could consume it in moderation without any harm.

His final destination was Kedarnath, located in the Himalayas. Graham took a bus from Delhi to Rishikesh, where he noticed that many global leaders were visiting Uttarakhand to learn about spirituality and yoga. This aspect of India was a new dimension for Graham, whose brain neurons had been developed for accounting work only.

After staying for one night and enjoying an evening pooja near the Ganga shore, Graham took a peaceful walk along the holy Ganga beach. He smoked chillum with some sadhus nearby and watched people doing yoga poses in incredible ways that seemed impossible for human beings to achieve.

The highlight of his trip was the morning Ganga river bath, which people believe cleanses the spirit. This new knowledge about spirituality and yoga was like a new dimension for Graham, who had previously only known the world of finance and cannabis.

Finally, Graham's main goal of visiting Kedarnath was within reach. He took a vintage 80s bus and sat next to a young Uttarakhand man who told him about the people's deep connection to nature and how they pray and give respect to it. Graham was fascinated by this new knowledge.

He then asked the young man how they used cannabis, and the man explained that they made ropes, clothes, houses, shelter, and even food for animals out of the cannabis plant. Graham was surprised by this use of cannabis, as he had only known about its recreational and medicinal properties.

The young man then shared his knowledge about cannabis strains. He explained that they smoked indica strains for relaxation and pain relief after working in the fields, and sativa strains during festivals for euphoria. Graham was impressed by the man's deep knowledge and survival skills.

When Graham asked the young man to roll a bidi of local strain, he declined, saying that the indica strain was best used at night to calm the body after a stressful day. He advised Graham to wait until later in the day, as the sun in the mountains could be harsh on the body. Graham took his advice and waited, taking in the breathtaking views of waterfalls, super-green forests, and cold streams.

After a few hours, Graham realized that the refreshing mountain views had already rejuvenated him, and he didn't need to smoke cannabis to enjoy the beautiful day. He eventually reached the Kedarnath temple base camp after a long journey.

After a grueling journey full of breathtaking waterfalls, lush forests, and invigorating streams, Graham and the Uttarakhand man finally reached the Kedarnath temple base camp. As the end of the journey loomed, a sense of bittersweetness washed over Graham. He was grateful for the experiences he had gained along the way, but he also felt a pang of sadness that his adventure was coming to an end.

Before heading back home, the Uttarakhand man went above and beyond to make sure Graham had a comfortable stay. He used his local language to negotiate with a homestay owner and offered Graham some of the indica strain he had spoken about earlier. On the homestay terrace, with the sun setting behind them, the man rolled a hash in a dry mango leaf and explained the different uses of cannabis in India. Graham was struck by the man's deep knowledge and his willingness to share it with him.

As they sat together, Graham felt a sense of awe and wonder wash over him. He realized that the luxuries he had been accustomed to in the Western world were nothing compared to the depth of knowledge and wisdom he had discovered on this journey. This newfound appreciation for a simpler way of life filled him with a sense of humility and gratitude.

The man went on to explain how cannabis could be used as an edible, which sparked an idea in Graham's mind. He made a mental note to add edible products to his business back in Toronto. The man also urged Graham to take some time to enjoy the Himalayas before leaving. He reminded him that few people in this world get the chance to witness the majesty of the Himalayas from the vantage point of Kedarnath.

As Graham looked out at the stunning mountain view before him, he felt a sense of reverence wash over him. The mountains seemed to hold a sacred energy that he had never experienced before. He realized that his journey had not just been about discovering new strains of cannabis, but about discovering a new way of being. This adventure had opened his eyes to a world of spirituality, connection, and appreciation for the natural world that he had never known before.

As he left Kedarnath, Graham felt a sense of purpose and direction that he had never experienced before. He knew that he would always be grateful for the experiences and lessons he had gained on this journey. It had changed him in ways he could not have anticipated, and he knew that he would carry the memory of this adventure with him for the rest of his life.

This journey taught him that responsible cannabis use was essential, and one could find god in any form if they identified it. The mountains reminded him of the place where gods came and spent some time in peace, practiced yoga and meditation. The man had experienced a new kind of luxury that was affordable, and he had a newfound appreciation for nature and its connection to humans. He learned that cannabis had many practical uses and could be used responsibly, which he had never considered before.

Well, edibles can be a great alternative to smoking for a number of reasons. For one, they offer a longer and more intense high, as the THC is metabolized by the liver into a more potent form. Additionally, they can be a healthier option for those concerned about the effects of smoking on their lungs. However, it's important to note that the effects can take longer to kick in and can last much longer than smoking, so be sure to start with a small dose and wait at least an hour before consuming more. Happy exploring, eh!

Hey, what's the deal with edibles? Been smoking forever, eh, and wanna try something new and legal. Any benefits to chowing down on some cannabis instead of smoking it?
